Laguna Beach Transforms into Open-Air Studio for 27th Annual Plein Air Painting Invitational Thirty Award-Winning Artists to Compete, Create, and Connect with the Community October 4th-12th
LAGUNA BEACH, CA – July 29, 2025 – Prepare for a spectacular nine-day art festival as the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) proudly presents its 27th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational, taking place from October 4th to 12th, 2025. This highly anticipated event will see 30 of the nation’s top award-winning plein air artists transform Laguna Beach into a vibrant outdoor studio, competing for prestigious prizes while capturing the town’s iconic beauty on canvas.
Throughout the week, art enthusiasts and the public will have unparalleled opportunities to engage directly with the artists and the creative process:
- Witness the Creation: Observe plein air masterpieces come to life, from the first brushstroke to the final detail, as artists paint live across Laguna’s scenic vistas.

The Invitational week culminates in the highly anticipated Collectors Gala pARTy on Saturday, October 11th, at the Laguna Festival of Arts.
