Maritime Festival

Ocean Institute is hosting its 41st Maritime Festival Friday, Sept 12 – Sunday, Sept 14 at the Dana Point Harbor withlive music, local vendors, food trucks, kids’ activities, sailor reenactors, marine life exhibits, and visiting tall ships. We are thrilled to continue celebrating Dana Point’s maritime history.  Reserve tickets to participate in the reenacting cannon battles with a crew who wears period clothing and sings shanty songs. While on board The Mayflower, learn about maritime history and help the crew.

Step aboard a historic tall ship and set sail off the coast of Dana Point. While on board learn about maritime history and experience the thrill of mock cannon battles at sea.

Enjoy blasting cannons, towering rigging, bustling decks, and the magnificence of a canvas full of wind during a Cannon Battle! Work with the crew hauling up sail or simply sit back and enjoy the spectacular demonstration of skill, knowledge, and survival! Ticket includes Festival Adventure Pass
