Women’s History Exhibits
Happy International Women’s Day! In March we celebrate the many contributions women have made to history. The Smithsonian Museum’s online women’s history exhibits are incredible. We particularly recommend the Museum Objects, Oral Histories, and Podcasts. Viewing and listening to these online materials will remind us of the work that generations prior to us did. It’s important to remember the enduring legacies of female leadership. One exhibit in particular, The Creating Icons: How We Remember Woman Suffrage pays homage to the leaders of the movement. Granville Redmond: The Eloquent Palette
We are excited to share that the Laguna Art Museum has reopened. We had an opportunity to see this exhibit and encourage you to do the same. This exhibit is on display through November 15, 2020. It was organized by the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, CA. “Granville Redmond (1871–1935) produced a body of work that captures California’s diverse topography, vegetation, and color. Calling all art connoisseurs! From May 16th to June 13th, The California Art Club will be hosting a virtual art exhibit for its 109th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition.
