    Jennifer Keil, founder of 70 Degrees, conversed with Summer Cherland. Keil provided her insight for conducting oral histories with various institutions. She shared resources and techniques for best practices when facilitating interviews. She recommends introductory and advanced workshops at oral history centers such as CSUF’s Lawrence de Graaf Center for Oral and Public History. Additionally, one could join professional networks such as Oral History Association and Southwest Oral History Association (SOHA) which offer training at annual conferences.  In this podcast, she shared the connections with Anthropology, Genealogy, and Oral History practices.     Happy International Women’s Day! In March we celebrate the many contributions women have made to history. The Smithsonian Museum’s online women’s history exhibits are incredible. We particularly recommend the Museum Objects, Oral Histories, and Podcasts. Viewing and listening to these online materials will remind us of the work that generations prior to us did. It’s important to remember the enduring legacies of female leadership. One exhibit in particular, The Creating Icons: How We Remember Woman Suffrage pays homage to the leaders of the movement.
